Apple just unveiled a new flagship smartphone, the iPhone 11 Pro, at its press conference from the Steve Jobs Theater in the Apple campus in Cupertino, California.The new iPhones bring the biggest shakeup for Apple’s smartphone family since the the iPhone X was introduced in 2017. First up the design has been shaken up with a new matte finish and a slightly grayish-green color called midnight green in addition to the usual silver, space gray, and gold options.iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max preorders will go live here at 5 a.m. Pacific time on September 13.iPhone Pro with Super Retina XDR DisplayThe new iPhone 11 Pro comes in two screen sizes 5.8 and 6.5 inches. Both versions sport a Super Retina XDR display with a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits, which apparently allows it to support both HDR 10, Dolby Vision.Like the iPhone 11, this new Pro model sports Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chip, which sports 8.5 billion transistors capable of processing one trillion operations per second. The new chip is more sectioned off than Appl’s previous mobile chips with two performance cores, four efficiency cores and an 8-core neural engine.Apparently this new processor also makes the iPhone 11 Pro last longer. The Cupertino company claims the iPhone 11 Pro will last four hours longer than an iPhone XS. The Max version meanwhile will go five hours longer than the previous iPhone XS Max.Moving onto cameras, the iPhone 11 Pro is the first one to sport three of them. You get one 12MP wide camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP telephoto camera at f/2.0, and lastly a 12MP, f/2.4 ultra wide camera.iPhone 11 Pro Official Image SamplesWhile on stage, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller also gave us a sneak peek at a new Deep Fusion photo mode. Essentially, this feature takes nine images before you press the shutter and compiles them into one extremely high-res image.You’ll also be able to use all three of the iPhone 11 Pro’s cameras for video. Both phones will be available for preorder starting on Friday, September 13th at 5am PT. They’ll begin shipping on September 20th.
